About Principal Lester

Dear Presidential Park Elementary School Community,

I am honored and grateful to be the new Principal for Presidential Park Elementary School and I am looking forward to the opportunity to build a strong connection with Presidential Park’s faculty, staff, scholars, and its incredible community. My goal is to create a shared sense of pride which will further enhance my passion as an educator to create a positive journey for our scholars, our Legacy Makers.

I come to you with 20 years of experience in education, first as an Elementary Teacher, and for the past 10 years, as an Educational  Leader.  I was an Elementary Principal as well as an Assistant Principal at the Middle and High School level in the Frontier Central School District in Hamburg, New York.  For the past two years I have enjoyed working as the Instructional Leader for STEM at Monhagen Middle School in the Middletown City School District. My work with school community members at all levels of education have propelled my growth as a leader to understand the necessary skills learners need to reach high levels of success and how we as a K-12 team need to work together to achieve that high level of success.

As an Elementary Principal, I have improved instructional programming for students through an in depth Multi-tiered System of Supports, meeting the students needs through personalized learning and interventions. In doing this work, I focused on creating aligned instructional practices and school-wide initiatives that centered on the social-emotional growth of my students. This work supported building positive school culture and continued school traditions.  Through school-wide monthly events and the establishment of a character education motto, I was able to enhance the learning environment students thrived in and I am excited to bring my experience to Presidential Park Elementary.

As an Educator, I hold so much pride in the work I do and my passion to nurture and teach scholars of all ages, but I am also a mother of two incredible and successful young adults. And as a parent, I value the hard work we all put into raising our next generation. I strongly believe in the potential that all students possess, and I am certain that through partnership and collaboration with you, our scholars will be successful in building self-confidence to positively shape their future.

I’m excited to continue the wonderful traditions of Presidential Park Elementary and to celebrate our work through instructional decision making that puts students first.  By supporting our culturally rich community we will amplify our work at Presidential Park Elementary School together. I welcome your conversations and positive input on how Presidential Park will continue to be a place to celebrate all of our scholars.  I am eager to share in the success we will have in the 2024-2025 school year with all of you.
